Diana's Story

My work is guided by a central conviction: lasting progress requires more than potential. It requires clarity of direction, the structures to sustain growth, and the discipline to turn intention into action.

This perspective began to take shape during my eight-plus years in education, where I worked with children across diverse learning environments. I saw how confidence, emotional stability, and individual potential could be cultivated through intentional guidance and supportive structures. Those experiences continue to inform how I approach leadership, organisational development, and human potential.

My professional background combines business education with experience across strategy, communications, education, and organisational leadership. I hold a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Hertfordshire, am an alumna of the Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI), and have served as a World Food Forum Youth Representative with the Food and Agriculture Organization and a World Bank Group Youth Delegate. I am also an International Coaching Federation (ICF) Associate Certified Coach.

I founded The Makazi Foundation to provide psychosocial support, holistic education, and vocational skills development to vulnerable youth across Malawi. What began as a local initiative has grown into a structured empowerment model, mobilising over 90 volunteers and reaching thousands of beneficiaries across multiple communities.

Alongside my nonprofit leadership, I established Data-Driven Creativity, a boutique brand strategy consultancy addressing a fundamental business challenge: visibility without a clearly defined identity. Through audience psychology, strategic positioning, and disciplined messaging, I help businesses build distinctive brands with a clearer sense of purpose, market relevance, and direction for growth.

My entrepreneurial experience also extends to House of Ajani, a beauty and lifestyle venture through which I operated a beauty salon for five and a half years. Building and managing the business gave me first-hand experience in business operations, customer relationships, and the realities of developing a consumer-facing brand. This experience continues to inform my perspective on entrepreneurship, brand development, and sustainable business growth.

Through AMANDLA., my leadership coaching company, I focus on developing leaders who can govern themselves, think clearly under pressure, exercise sound judgement, and lead with intention. My work centres on strengthening the internal capabilities that underpin effective leadership: self-awareness, emotional regulation, strategic clarity, and disciplined execution.

Although these ventures serve different audiences, they reflect a consistent approach to growth: developing people, strengthening organisations, and building brands through greater clarity, intentional structure, and disciplined action.

Clarity precedes scale. Structure sustains power. Empowerment must extend beyond the individual.
